Next scale the face slightly and select the vertex tool.

Select the three curves as shown and pull them out. Then keep modifying the face. Step 1
Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

Now detach the new object you have created (note detach as object)

Then place a shell on the object. (Note, when I did this, the object came out wrong as the picture shows, if it does, convert it into an edit poly and straighten out the lines in vertex mode)
When you have finished, copy the shape and place them on both

sides of the object to create the connectors. Do this as shown below;
Attach the boxes to the connectors as shown below; Now using the polygon tool, select the face of one the boxes, shift+click and pull it out as so;
Then scale it out.
Using the edge tool select the two side and connect them (note use the connect tool and create two segments)
This is what the object should look like. Select the two lines as shown;
Create two segments and place them as shown;
Then pull the rectangle as shown;
Then using the polygon to select the shape and detach it as an object.
Clone the object and place it underneath the first one.
Select the bottom one and flip the plane (this is so it will attach to the one above) then select the border and then select bridge to bridge the gap. This is a part I had problems with.
Adjust it and place it on top of the boxes as shown below. Then copy it as an object.
Flip the copy.
Place it as so;
Attach them to the boxes.
